2006 Chrysler Pacifica Fuel Rail Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Maintain and Repair a Fuel Rail on 2006 Chrysler Pacifica?
A: Be sure to let the fuel pressure off and take the negative battery cable off before addressing the fuel rail. If the injector connectors are not assigned, then write the correct cylinder number for each connector. Unplug the fuel supply line from the fuel rail, then remove the four bolts holding the fuel rail and pull it straight away from the cylinder head. Elsewhere in your procedure, pull the fuel injectors from the fuel rail by removing the retaining clips first. Before installing the fuel injectors, lubricate the O-rings with just a few drops of clean engine oil and then put the retaining clips in place. Secure the injector clips in place by pressing the injectors onto the rail, then lay the fuel rail over the cylinder heads and push it in, fastening the bolts to a torque of 28 N.m (250 in. lbs). First, join the fuel supply tube fitting to the fuel rail and then use the tool to lock the electrical connectors onto the fuel injectors. Set the intake manifold plenum in place and then connect the negative cable to the battery once again.
