2006 Chrysler Pacifica Fuel Level Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Fuel Level Sensor on 2006 Chrysler Pacifica?
A: The first step for servicing the fuel level sensor is to remove fuel pressure and cut off the negative battery cable. Fuel tank removal and vacuuming should be done before you can unscrew the module lock ring. Remove the vapor line and the sensor's wire connector, then take out the module lock ring with a brass punch because it is a 1/4 turn lock ring. Take the top off the module and tip it to let fuel drain from the reservoir, always making sure to drain the gas tank using a proper drain station. Take the connector off of the fuel level sensor card and grab the sensor card by prying at both locking tabs and pulling it down. When setting up the fuel level sensor card, insert it into the module first and next connect its electrical connector. Attach the module top to the bottom table and then set the tank up with the level unit positioned at the back. Place the new seal into the groove on the tank and make it sit correctly and then secure the module lock ring using a brass punch so all five tabs are correct. Attach the lines to the vapor outlet and electrical connector, put the fuel tank in place again, secure the ground cable on the negative battery side and refill the fuel tank. After that, use the scan tool to pump the fuel lines and check for any leaks.
