2006 Chrysler Pacifica Starter Motor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Effectively Service and Repair a Starter Motor on 2006 Chrysler Pacifica?
A: Before starting service or repair, first detach the negative cable from the battery. Take out and relocate the upper radiator crossmember, then take out the radiator fan module. Open the wiring harness clip at the front mount and loosen and remove the coolant line clamp bolt. After that, take off the front mount nut and remove both of the starter bolts near the top. Lift the car and set it on blocks beneath, then remove the nut from the lower front mount. Bring up the engine and remove the lower bracket bolt from the transmission and from the engine block. After the bracket, reposition the front mount and disconnect the positive cable on the battery and the connection on the solenoid from the starter. Disconnect the bottom starter bolt and take the starter from inside the car. Put the parts back into the vehicle, first using the lower bolt for the starter and the nuts for the shield. Connect the solenoid and the battery cable to the starter and slide the front mount until its pin is lined up, putting the wire harness in front. After putting the middle starter bolt in, install both bracket bolts, tightening both. Set the engine on the lower mount and install its nut, then tighten it. Put the vehicle down after installing and snugging the middle and upper starter bolts. After that, install and fasten the upper nut to the front mount, install the coolant line clamp bolt and its nut and slide in the wiring harness clip into the front mount, then line up the radiator fan module and the upper radiator crossmember. Link the negative battery cable back to its spot.
