2006 Chrysler Town & Country Starter Motor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Effectively Service and Repair a Starter Motor on 2006 Chrysler Town & Country?
A: Clean power off the battery by disconnecting and isolating the battery negative cable, after you have opened the hood by releasing the latch. Raise the vehicle with safety stands to support it while you work. Unscrew the nut at the B+ terminal of the starter solenoid and take off the solenoid connector from the starter. After that, remove the bolts attaching the starter to the transaxle bellhousing, take the starter out and take the starter spacer apart from the bellhousing. To install, fit the starter spacer onto the bullring so the flange is directed toward the flywheel, then put the starter on the bullring. Put the bolts in the bellhousing, install the ground wire and use the nut to attach the B+ terminal to the starter solenoid. After that, set the vehicle down to the ground, attach the negative battery cable and attempt starting the car once more.
