  A: Before performing fuel injector service, first take off the fuel rail and make sure it is in a position that gives easy access to the injectors. Pull away the injector wiring connector on every injector and as you pull the injector out of the rail, keep the attached clip attached to it. Examine the O-ring for cracks or holes; if it is damaged, the O-ring must be changed and if the injector is reused, you should put a protective cap over the tip. Repair any broken clips and perform the above steps on all the other injectors. Place a small drop of oil on the O-ring of every injector before fitting them into place. Insert the injector clip into the top slot on the injector, so that its edge slots into the sides of the clip. Slide the top end of the injector into the fuel rail receiver cap, ensuring the O-ring stays undamaged and install the rest in the same manner. Make sure to attach the fuel injector wiring once again at this point.
