The first step is to take out the push pin fasteners and also the upper radiator shroud. Mark a guide for where to place the latch with a grease pencil. Following this, take out the bolts that help the hood latch attach to the upper radiator crossmember. Loosen the latch from the crossmember and cut the cable running to the release lever. For installation, tie the release cable to the hood latch, slide in the latch over the marks and fasten it with three bolts. Screw the bolts to 11 N.m (8 ft.lbs.), close the hood and set the latch so it functions properly.
