How to Service and Repair the Wheel Bearing on a 248RBI Rear Axle on 2006 Dodge Ram 1500?

Before anything else, remove the axle shaft and use a pry bar to pop the axle seal out. Attach 9345 Bearing Receiver to the axle tube and place Foot 63109 and part 6310 Bearing Remover into the bearing and receiver. Screw the Remove 6310 nut in place to help draw the bearing into the receiver. The first step in installation is to clean the axle tube of any previous sealer or burrs. Put the axle shaft bearing into the axleguides, making sure the part number faces you and push it in with Installer 9344 until the tool touches the axleguide's edge. Wipe some axle lubricant across the new seal lip and insert it with Installer 9343 and Handle C4171 and then reinsert the axle shaft as the last step.
