How to Service and Repair a Rear Engine Mount on 2006 Dodge Ram 2500?

Before servicing the rear engine mount, raise the vehicle and put a jack underneath the transmission. Pull the nuts out of the transmission mount and take out the two bolts that link the transmission mount to the engine bracket. Elevate the transmission enough to remove the mount from the crossmember and then remove the mount. Put threadlocking compound on the transmission bolts, then tighten both of them to 61 Nm (45 ft. lbs.). Set the transmission upward slightly, letting the mount's underside touch the crossmember and ensure the transmission holes fit into the crossmember's holes. Insert the nuts onto the studs in the transmission mounts and tighten them with 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.).
