How to Service and Repair an Engine Mount for 2WD and 4WD on 2007 Dodge Ram 2500?

You should disconnect the negative battery wire and then lift the car after taking care of the engine mount. For a 2WD, release the engine mount bolts, then raise the engine with a special engine support fixture #8534 and remove the engine mount from the insulator bolts (1) and insulator (2). When working with 4WD, disconnect the battery's negative terminal, take the vehicle to a higher spot and undo the front skid plate and crossmember. After that, detach the engine oil filter and apply the engine support fixture special tool #8534 underneath the engine. Lift the front axle using a suitable jack. Remove the (4) bolts that tie the engine mounts to the front axle, then remove the (3) bolts joining the front axle to the left engine bracket and only then lower the front axle. Unscrew the (6) through bolts and lift the engine to get at and remove the left (4) and right (8) mounts.
