2006 Dodge Ram 2500 Power Steering Cooler Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to service a Power Steering Cooler on 2006 Dodge Ram 2500?
A: Before anything else, you should drain and siphon out the power steering fluid. You should separate the return and supply lines from the power steering fluid cooler. On V6 and V8 engines, take out the two bolts at the cooler brace connection, yet on diesel engines, take out the three bolts. When the current fluid cooler is removed, bolt on the new cooler to the brace using the right bolts for the engine in the car. Connect the return and supply hoses back to the power steering fluid cooler and then add more power steering fluid.
