When working on the tie rod end, work carefully to avoid twisting the boot during either installation or removal. Absolutely, to begin, gently remove the jam nut 3, then take out the outer tie rod end nut from the ball stud. Remove the knuckle from the top ball stud 1 with Remover 9360 and take the outer tie rod out of the nutplate of the inner tie rod. First, put the outer tie rod end 3 on the inner tie rod 2 and install the entire unit back into the steering knuckle. Turn the ball stud nut again 90°. Adjust the wheel toe and then apply 1 to 127 Nm (94 ft. lbs.) of tightening to the jam nut 1.
