2006 Dodge Ram 2500 Steering Knuckle Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Steering Knuckle on a (HD) 4X2 on 2006 Dodge Ram 2500?
A: To fix or repair the steering knuckle on such a vehicle, first get it on the lift, then take off the wheel and tire. from there, remove the brakes caliper, rotor, shield and ABS wheel speed sensor if it exists. Remove the nut from the tie rod end and use Remover 9360 to split the tie rod from the knuckle. Next, remove the upper ball joint nut and split the ball joint from the knuckle using Remover 9360, so you do not damage the seal at the time of installing puller 8677. Go on to take off the lower ball joint nut, pull the ball joint from the knuckle using puller 8677 and remove the knuckle. Take out the hub/bearing unit from the steering knuckle in the end.
