2007 Dodge Ram 2500 Steering Knuckle Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Steering Knuckle on an (HD) 4X2 on 2007 Dodge Ram 2500?
A: Start service and repair of the steering knuckle on a (HD) 4X2 by raising and supporting the vehicle, then taking off the wheel and tire assembly. Remove the rotor, brake caliper, shield and the ABS wheel speed sensor from the setup next if it has one. Open the nut on the tie rod end and apply Remover 9360 to help you separate the tie rod from the knuckle. After taking out the nut, use Remover 9360 to part the ball joint from the knuckle, but take care to not harm the seal while using puller 8677. With the rest of the ball joint removed, take out the lower ball joint nut, disconnect the ball joint from the knuckle using puller 8677 and remove the knuckle. On top of that, remove the hub/bearing from the steering knuckle.
