2006 Dodge Ram 2500 Steering Column Cover Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service a Steering Column Cover on 2006 Dodge Ram 2500?
A: Begin by loosening the park brake release handle and afterwards remove the two screws connecting the bottom of the steering column cover (3) to the instrument panel. Lift the top of the steering column opening cover (2) with a trim stick C-4755 or a similar instrument and take off the cover when the two retainer clips are released. After that, undo the screws and take out the knee blocker. Install the knee blocker (2) by first positioning it and fastening it with screws (1). Secure the opening cover (2) on to the instrument panel with both upper retainer clips. After that, attach the two screws to finish securing the cover of the steering column opening to the instrument panel and set the park brake release handle in its proper position.
