2006 Dodge Stratus Vapor Canister Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service and Repair a Vapor Canister on 2006 Dodge Stratus?
A: Start your service and repair of the Evaporative Emission Control Canister by disconnecting the battery cable from its negative side. After that, uninstall the fuel tank and unlink each EVAP hose from the EVAP canister and the electrical connector. Pull the lower tabs on the EVAP canister to remove it, then swing the canister away from its bracket at the bottom. Pull the EVAP canister off its mounting tab on top of the intake manifold. When you're installing the EVAP canister, connect it to the upper bracket, bend it onto the lower bracket and snap it in place. Add back the hoses to the top of the EVAP canister and attach the electrical connector. Afterward, put back the fuel tank and attach the negative battery cable.
