How to Remove and Reinstall the Center Console Base on 2006 Jeep Liberty?

If your car is equipped with a shift bezel, remove it before you continue. Make certain the park brake lever is pulled up. If your car has a manual trans and transfer shifter boots, use a trim stick C-4755 or an equal tool to separate them from the trans linkage. After that, use a screwdriver to loosen the four bolts that attach the console and then lift up on the back of the console to remove it. Place the front of the console over your dashboard and tilt the back down over the shifter and brake levers to install. Put the bolts in place, then fasten the shift boots with their retainer clips. The last step is to install the shift bezel.
