2006 Jeep Liberty Fog Light Bulb Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Replace a Fog Light Bulb in a Fascia-Mounted Lamp on 2006 Jeep Liberty?
A: Before replacing the bulb in your fog/driving lamp, disconnect the negative battery terminal. Take out the three screws that hold the front fog lamp bezel and lens to the housing's back. Pull back both the bezel and the lens from the housing to free the fog lamp connector from its wire lead. Hold the clip so that the two points touch and slip them out of the slots on the back of the lens reflector's mounting flange. Lift the retainer clip away from the bulb flange and set it aside, then pull the bulb right up and out of the mounting flange at the back of the lens reflector. Always make sure the bulb is compatible to stop overheating and other damage to the products. Place the fog lamp bulb flange against the mounting flange in the rear of the lens reflector and push the bulb directly into the opening to seat it securely. Flick up the rubber clip on the bulb, pinch its two ends and attach them into the openings in the mount to hold the bulb in. Secure the bulb wire onto the fog lamp wiring connector, fix the lens and bezel inside the fog lamp housing without pinching the light's wires. Put in the three screws to hold the bezel and lens to the back housing, turning them to 2 N.m (17 in. lbs.); after that, attach the negative cable to the battery.
