How to Maintain and Fix a Door Lock Cylinder on 2006 Jeep Wrangler?

You'll start by removing the trim panel and peeling back the waterdam, to be able to get at the door lock cylinder so you can service or repair it. To take out the lock cylinder from the door, disconnect the lock cylinder from the latch rod, remove the lock cylinder retaining clip and remove the lock cylinder. Insert the retaining clip and put the lock cylinder back into the door. Next you need to reconnect the lock cylinder to the latch rod, then reattach the waterdam to the door and then finally replace the trim panel.
