2007 Chrysler Aspen Door Hinge Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Maintain and Fix a Door Hinge Without Taking the Door Off on 2007 Chrysler Aspen?
A: You can repair the back door hinge without taking the door off and if all is replaced one at a time and the washers remain, the door shouldn't go out of alignment. It is important to use a fitting body sealant whenever the hinges are removed or moved. Start by getting the door to the front of your house open first. With a grease pencil, mark the door and B-pillar where the upper hinge is supposed to go. Unscrew the nuts on the hinge screws from the door, followed by removing the bolts from the hinge on the B-pillar and take out the hinge. Place the lower hinge on the door simple and trace the position with a grease pencil. At the same time, take away the lower trim of the B-pillar. After that, remove the two nuts from the hinge on the door and the two bolts that secure the hinge to the B-pillar. After everything is set up outside the vehicle, open the door and remove the bolt held by the B-pillar to remove the hinge.
