Before removing or resetting hinges, put a suitable sealant on the body. Initially, secure the liftgate on a suitable lifting machine. After that, use a trim stick C-4755 or a similar tool to take out the upper rear headliner trim. To help when reinstalling, indicate the location of the hinge by making a mark with a grease pencil. Remove the two liftgate bolts and the one body bolt to free the hinge from the door.
