How to Replace a Liftgate Hinge Without Removing the Liftgate on 2008 Chrysler Aspen?

You don't need to take off the liftgate to change a trunk or liftgate hinge; you can change them individually. Lift your cargo van by first putting the liftgate on a lifting device that fits properly. With the trim stick C-4755 or something similar, remove the upper rear headliner trim. Draw around the hinge using a grease pencil or something similar that's easy to remove later. After that, get rid of both liftgate bolts and the body bolt, then take the hinge out. Don't forget to use a proper sealant when handling the hinges.
