2007 Chrysler Aspen PCV Valve Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Locate and Remove the PCV Valve on a 4.7L V-8 Engine on 2007 Chrysler Aspen?
A: The PCV valve on a 4.7L V-8 engine is set off the oil filler tube, held by two tabs that clasp into a cam lock, with an O-ring making a seal between the valve and the tube. At first, unhook the rubber hose from the PCV line connector at the location of the PCV valve. Next, turn the PCV valve downward (counter-clockwise) as far as possible until you can lift the locating tabs free from the cam and then pull it out while facing downward. After you remove the O-ring, check how it has aged. The PCV valve for a 5.7L V-8 is found along the top of the intake manifold, to the right/rear of the throttle body and is sealed with two O-rings. To get rid of the valve, turn it anticlockwise by 90 degrees, till the locating tabs come loose. Then, pull the valve straight up from the manifold and inspect the two O-rings.
