  A: Before you repair the universal joint with injected rings, clamp the shaft yoke in a vise. Set the U-joint press so the receiver is on the propeller shaft yoke and slowly press the U-joint bearing caps out. After taking off the bottom cap on the yoke, hold the press so the receiver touches the shaft yoke, then allow pressure to push out the remaining U-joint bearing cap from the shaft. When the flange and U-joint are removed from the shaft yoke, attach the U-joint press so the receiver is on the flange and press the bearing caps out of it. Pry off the bearing cap outside the flange, then obtain a solid position with the U-joint press and flange receiver, press out the inner bearing cap and finish by removing the U-joint from the flange.
