The first step to servicing the door ajar switch is to take out the negative battery cable. Following this, pick up a trim stick and make sure the retaining tab at the top of the door ajar switch pops out. Draw the top of the door from the dashboard and remove it down and away from where it is located near the B-pillar, then unplug the door ajar switch harness connector.
