2007 Chrysler Crossfire Clock Spring Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Install a Clock Spring Assembly on 2007 Chrysler Crossfire?
A: You should start by joining the steering angle sensor to the Clock Spring along its aligning points on the housing. If you plan to reuse the Clock Spring, always make sure to remove any securing part for the Clock Spring rotor, so everything stays centered until it is reinstalled in the steering column. After that, attach the Clock Spring to the steering column and fasten it with two screws, turning them to a torque of 1 Nm (9 in. lbs.). Attach the steering wheel with its tapered bolt onto the steering column next. After you are done, put the driver air bag in place along with its screws at the steering wheel. Make sure the negative battery cable is not connected yet and go on to the Supplemental Restraint System verification test procedure after working on any Supplemental Restraint System unit.
