2007 Chrysler Sebring Exhaust Pipe Parts and Q&A
Q: How Is an Exhaust Pipe Installed on 2007 Chrysler Sebring?
A: Place a fresh gasket on the bottom of the rear catalytic converter before installing the exhaust pipe and if a new cross-under pipe is needed, put the oxygen sensors in the new pipe. Make sure to attach the cross-under pipe to the catalytic converters and fasten both sides securely, using only your hands to tighten. Then, seal the cross-under pipes by tightening the two nuts to the rear catalytic converter to 28 Nm (250 in. lbs.) and tighten the same two nuts on the front catalytic converter. Attach and fasten the cross-under pipe to the exhaust system pipe, making sure you tighten it to 28 Nm (250 in. lbs.). Attach the oil pan to the transmission's structural collar and hook up the connectors on the downstream oxygen sensor. Pull the vehicle lower, start it up and look for any leaks in the exhaust, fixing them if you find any. Be sure to inspect the exhaust system to guarantee it isn't touching the body panels, making any changes if that's the case.
