2007 Chrysler Sebring Muffler Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Safely and Effectively Service a Muffler on 2007 Chrysler Sebring?
A: Always wait until the exhaust system is no longer hot, because moments near the catalytic converter can get very hot. Should you need to replace a band clamp, deal with the old spot weld and remember to fit the new part with either the same type or a similar one. First, hoist up the car and put some penetrating oil on band clamp 4. From there, remove the ground strap from the muffler and open band clamp 4. Rubber isolators must be removed by hand with support from soap or silicone spray, but not kinds of petroleum lubricant since they can be harmful to the rubber. Afterward, remove the muffler supports' first support isolators and remove the muffler/resonator assembly.
