2007 Chrysler Sebring Front Cross-Member Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Install a Front Cross-Member on 2007 Chrysler Sebring?
A: The first step is to fit the O2 sensor on the catalytic converter, add the heat shield and secure it with fasteners. After that, put on the heat shield push pins and fasten the bolts that secure the steering gear to the top crossmember of the suspension. Place the front suspension crossmember on the vehicle body and loosely bolt one end of the rear of the crossmember to the frame rail torque boxes. Slide the ball joint nut and the rear roll torque mount through hole, fastening it to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs). Slide the stabilizer link fastener over the strut and then mount the lower control arms. Attach the crossmember to the frame rail torque boxes with tightened bolts, using 135 Nm (100 ft. lb) torque and carry out the same procedure for the cross member reinforcement with 55 Nm (41 ft. lb) torque. After installing the stay brackets and securing with 55 Nm (41 ft. lbs) of torque, set the fore/aft crossmember onto its supports. When you are done, set the vehicle lower to the ground and align the front end before adjusting it.
