2007 Dodge Caravan Oxygen Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Install an Oxygen Sensor on a 2.4L Engine on 2007 Dodge Caravan?
A: Heated oxygen sensors are used in the engine and to replace the upstream 1/1 sensor on the 2.4L engine, be certain to clean the threads in the exhaust manifold using an 18 mm x 1.5 + 6E tap following its removal. For original sensors, add anti-seize compound Loctite 771-64 or something similar to the threads; new sensors are already treated so they don't require coating. After that, place the sensor and tighten it up to 41 Nm (30 ft. lbs.). After that, attach the O2 sensor electrical connector to its bracket and make sure it is secure. At the end, bring down the car and fasten on the negative battery cable once more.
