2007 Dodge Charger Control Arm Parts and Q&A
- Q: How to remove the upper control arm on 2007 Dodge Charger?A: Start by moving the coolant recovery container to the other side if removing the left upper control arm and detach the IPM and move it to the other side if the right upper control arm is being removed. Remove the cap at the top of the shock assembly for the front shock tower when available. After that, get rid of the three rotating shock assembly nuts plus the three nuts from the upper control arm bolts. Get the vehicle off the ground, remove the nut secu Pull apart the clip that holds the wheel speed sensor cable against the brake tube. Back off the nut attached to the end of the upper ball joint stud until it evenly reaches the end of the stud so distortion can be avoided as you apply Puller, Special Tool 9360. Pull the Puller past the ball joint seal boot until the top ball joint stud comes free from the knuckle. Unscrew the nut at the tip of the link joint rod and push downward on the shock assembly till the studs are free from the shock tower, giving you room to see the upper control arm bolts. Should you be working on the right upper control arm, release the headlamp leveling sensor connection from the arm. Remove the three upper control arm mounting bolts and take the upper control arm from the bracket in the shock tower.
