How to Install the Front Upper Control Arm on 2008 Dodge Charger?

Note that these upper control arms should not be mixed and replaced before performing the installation. Pull the upper control arm (2) into the bracket (3) that faces the outside of the shock tower (4). Align the top control arm mount (flag) bolts (1) with the bracket, arm and tower, then turn the bolts so the flags point outward where the tire will be. For export only, if fixing the upper control arm, fasten the headlamp leveling sensor (2) link at that arm (1). Slide the shock assembly (3) away to give enough space for the studs to go through the shock tower (2) mounting holes. Put the upper ball joint stud through the hole at the knuckle's top and fasten the nut, using a hex wrench to keep the stud still and turning the nut with another wrench. Turn the nut 47 Nm plus an extra 90° (about 35 ft. lbs.) using a crow foot on your torque wrench. Hook the wheel speed sensor cable routing clip (2) to the brake tube bracket (3). Attach the tire and wheel assembly and turn the wheel mounting nuts to 150 Nm (110 ft. lbs.) or 190 Nm (140 ft. lbs.) if your car is a police model. Carefully lower the vehicle to the curb position and put the nuts (2) on the upper control arm mounting bolts (1), tightening them by hand. Pass three nuts through the shock for assembly, connect the shock assembly to the shock tower and secure them to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.). If the car has the shock tower cap, place it over the shock mounting nuts (2) and push it until it snaps in. While you work on the left side, first place the coolant recovery container. While installing the upper control arm correctly, remember to use the IPM.
