2007 Dodge Dakota Cruise Control Servo Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service and Repair a Cruise Control Servo on 2007 Dodge Dakota?
A: The first step in working on the speed control servo assembly is to cut the negative battery cable at the battery. After that, disconnect the air cleaner filter housing assembly. Unplug the line from the servo's connection for vacuum and the harness that connects to the electrical side. Remove the three screws that attach the servos to the frame. Take out the servo cable from the throttle body. After taking out the two nuts that secure the servo cable sleeve to the bracket, pull the speed control cable sleeve and servo away to uncover the cable retaining clip. On the last step, take out the servo from the mounting bracket after noting the way it was positioned in the bracket.
