The first step to fixing or repairing the cruise control servo is to take out the negative
Battery Cable from the battery. After that, detach the vacuum hose at the servo, pull the electrical connector off and take out the servo cable from the
Throttle Body. Take off the two screws that hold the sleeve to the mounting bracket, then pull the speed control and servo cable sleeves away to let you remove the clip. Notice how the servo is connected to the bracket before removing it. For installation, place the servo on the mounting bracket, ensure that the cable connector hole and the servo hole line up and secure the cable-to-servo retaining clip. Insert the studs from the servos into the matching holes in the mounting bracket, then fasten them with the nuts and tighten firmly to 8.5 Nm (75 in. lbs.). After that, join the vacuum line and electrical connector at the servo, then place the servo cable at the throttle body. Once done, reattach the negative battery cable to the battery and then test for any stickiness while pressing the accelerator pedal before trying to start the vehicle.
