  A: The first step to repair or service a 3.7L V-6 fuel rail is to make certain the fuel system pressure is released, since its pressure stays on even when the engine is not running. The entire set of fuel rails should only be replaced together and the halves should not be separated at the tubes without clamps. When you are taking off the fuel rail assembly, watch out for bending or curving the connectors. First, take out the fuel tank filler tube cap and then do the Fuel System Pressure Release Procedure as explained. Remove the negative battery cable and then disconnect both the air duct and the air box at the throttle body.
