How to Replace Hood Hinges Without Detaching the Hood on 2007 Dodge Ram 1500?

Since it is not necessary to take out the hood, just one hinge can be changed at a time. Slide the hood hinge onto the fender rail first and finally slide it to the back position so it sits straight. Connect the hood hinge to the fender rail by using bolts and tighten them to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.). After that, fit the bolt holding the front fender to the hood hinge and tighten it to 12.5 Nm (9 ft. lbs.). Install the nuts loosely that attach the hood, carefully align the hood with the marks you made before and tighten the nuts to 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.). After that, install the support cylinder, adjust the hood to a proper position if it is off and finally put in the wheelhouse splash shield and the cowl grille.
