How to Maintain and Fix the Hood Cable on 2007 Dodge Ram 1500?

First, release the hood latch and then take the battery tray out from the left side inside the engine compartment. After that, remove the three hood cable retainer pins from the upper radiator crossmember and the left fender rail. Bolts inside the vehicle are holding the hood release handle to the instrument panel bracket; take them out. Also, disconnect the grommet on the cowl panel and pull the whole hood cable and handle assembly downwards.
