2007 Dodge Ram 2500 PCV Valve Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Install a PCV Valve on 4.7L and 5.7L V-8 Engines on 2007 Dodge Ram 2500?
A: You'll find the PCV valve for the 4.7L V-8 on the oil filler tube, held in place by two locating tabs that go into a cam lock and an O-ring helps to seal it. To mount the valve, slip the locating tabs into the cam lock, press the valve in and keep lowering and rotating it until it clicks and the valve points toward the rear. Move on by connecting the PCV line/hose and rubber hose to the valve. Begin by cleaning the opening of the intake manifold and inspect the two O-rings on the PCV valve for the 5.7L V-8. Put some oil onto the O-rings and then align the PCV valve into the intake manifold by rotating it clockwise 90 degrees to finish the job.
