How to Service and Repair a Hood Latch on 2007 Dodge Ram 3500?

Soak the secondary hood latch and release handle with water to prevent rusting. When the hood latch is dry, pull (4) out from under the grille, then slide (5) out and set it aside. Also, remove the two bolts (3) that hold the secondary hood latch and striker to the hood and remove the assembly.
