2007 Dodge Ram 3500 Shock Absorber Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Maintain and Fix a Shock Absorber on 2007 Dodge Ram 3500?
A: The first step in fixing or repairing the shock absorber on a 4X2 vehicle is to safely raise and support the vehicle. After that, lift and support the end of the lower control arm that is attached to the outboard mount. Use the supplied shock wrench 9362 to remove the nut, the retainer and the grommet from the upper shock absorber. Should it be required, add an 11/32 socket into the socket area at the base of the wrench handle to stop hex turning. After that, remove the lower bolts to take out the shock absorber.
