How to Service and Repair an Air Injection Pump on 2007 Dodge Sprinter 2500?

The first step in service or repair of the air injection pump is to unhook the negative battery cable. After that, take out the air filter box and unplug the air hose from the air pump. Remove next the air pump solenoid, the bolts that secure it and then the entire bracket to which the solenoid was fastened. Remove the tube hoses from each of the air pump outlets and then remove the plug from the air pump harness. In the end, remove the three bolts holding the air pump in place and lift the air pump off the bracket.
