2007 Dodge Sprinter 2500 Wiper Arm Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Properly Service and Repair a Rear Wiper Arm on 2007 Dodge Sprinter 2500?
A: Friction between the wiper arm and glass can cause scratches, so to fix and service the rear wiper arm, don't lift the arm without a wiper blade and don't put the rear arm on the rear door glass without the wiper blades. Move the rear wiper switch to the park position by turning the ignition to ON and pushing the multi-function switch off; if the rear wipers continue, don't turn off the ignition until they stop. Place the wiper pivot onto the output shaft, ensure the blade aligns with the red wiper line by the top of the blackout area on the lower door glass, then turn the wiper switch to the ON position. Relieve stress on the spring at the wiper arm by lifting it, then hold the pivot and slide it down smoothly and evenly into place on the output shaft. Attach and tighten the screw on the wiper arm to the primary shaft with 12 Nm (9 ft. lbs.) of force. Secure the washer nozzle hose connector to the fitting on the center of the rear wiper motor shaft and afterward snap the cover shut over the rear wiper arm on the back of the door. Clean the rear door window, move the rear wipers, shift the multi-function switch sleeve to OFF and correct the wiper arms into the proper position.
