2007 Dodge Sprinter 3500 A/C Condenser Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove the A/C Condenser on 2007 Dodge Sprinter 3500?
A: Begin by disconnecting the negative battery cable, proceed to take out the filter housing and only then remove the HVAC condenser. Pump the refrigerant out of the refrigerant system and drain out just a part of the coolant from the engine system. Unplug the upper radiator hose from the radiator and move it aside, then remove the engine cooling reservoir and the whole engine fan along with its shroud. Take the battery off first, then remove the grille and A/C condenser fan from your vehicle's front. Take off the four nuts at the left end of the A/C condenser that secure the discharge and liquid lines, disconnect these lines and dump the O-ring seals. Cover or seal the holes in the refrigerant lines and condenser with tape and then remove the wire connector from the A/C pressure transducer. On diesel models, release the charge air cooler hoses and take out the two front air seals. Unsnap the holds on the top radiator securing bracket so the radiator can be moved gently back for the A/C condenser to fit through. First, remove the condenser brackets from the radiator and slowly raise and tilt the A/C condenser out. If you need to, take out the A/C pressure transducer from the A/C condenser and throw out the O-ring seal and you may also remove the A/C receiver/drier from the condenser.
