How to Maintain and Fix a Muffler on a 3.7L/4.7L Engine on 2007 Jeep Commander?

The first action is to lift the vehicle and hold it by the side rails, so the rear axle becomes free. Use the heat valve lubricant to cover each bolt and nut and let it stay for 5 minutes. Slide a jackstand under the rear axle and then get rid of the RH shock absorber. Following this, take away the nuts that attach the front exhaust pipe/catalytic converter to the muffler/tailpipe assembly, plus the ground strap. Lastly, disconnect the tailpipe/muffler assembly from the isolators and take the whole muffler/tailpipe assembly out of the vehicle.
