How to Remove and Replace an Engine Control Module on 2007 Jeep Compass?

In order to replace the Engine Control Module, provide a VIN and mileage of the vehicle to the new Powertrain Control Module (PCM) by a scan tool. Disconnect the negative battery cable, then unplug the PCM connectors, remove the air cleaner box and pull out the module from the bracket.
