Q: How to Install a Speed Sensor for Wheels on 2007 Jeep Compass?
A: First, bury the wheel speed sensor head into the knuckle and close it with the screw, tightening it to 12 Nm (106 in. lbs.). Following that, add the routing clip (1) to help attach the wheel speed sensor cable to the knuckle (4). Attach the wheel speed sensor routing bracket (2) to the brake flex hose bracket (5) and fasten it with the supplied screw (1) to a torque of 18 Nm (13 ft. lbs.). After that, put the clamp (4) for the communication cable on the outside frame rail (6) and mount the screw (3), tightening it to a torque of 18 Nm (13 ft. lbs.). Attach clip (2) to the outer side of frame rail (6) and pass the wheel speed sensor cable through hole (7), inserting the grommet (1). Hold the vehicleat a lowered position and put the wheel speed sensor's cable connector (2) into the wiring harness connector (3) located on the frame rail (1) above. After that, appropriately perform the Diagnostic Verification Test and clear any problems you find.
