First, remove the instrument panel and put it on a bench and next remove the instrument panel cover. Then, remove the right and left demister ducts. If you find that the reverse side of the HVAC housing is damaged or smashed, you must get it replaced. After that, unscrew the defroster duct from the instrument support and from the bottom of the HVAC assembly, then detach the duct.
