2007 Jeep Wrangler Car Speakers Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove Car Speakers on 2007 Jeep Wrangler?
A: To start, you need to shut down the air bags on cars with air bags. Remove the battery negative cable, let it sit without power for two minutes and make sure the air bag light is out on the dashboard. For the tweeter, separate the battery negative cable, take out the mounting nut, remove the tweeter and disconnect the cable connecting it to the speaker. First, disconnect the negative battery cable, then open the cap on the instrument panel, the steering column cover and remove the amplifier. Then take off the electrical connector, separate the left side fasteners and draw out the left side of the instrument panel slightly to remove the speaker. When working on the passenger instrument panel speaker, unfasten the speaker mounting hardware, remove everything else connected to it, remove the positive battery cable and open the glove box as well as the instrument panel end cap. Unplug the negative cable from the sound bar battery, take out the fasteners on both sides of the sound bar, open the speaker cover, remove the speaker and then disconnect the electrical connector. Disconnect the black wire from the battery, take out the screws that hold the subwoofer into place and pull the speaker out, unplugging the connector.
