2007 Jeep Wrangler Sway Bar Bushing Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Sway Bar Bushing on 2007 Jeep Wrangler?
A: Before you start, make sure to raise and support the vehicle. Take off the left upper sway bar link nut and the left lower link bolt to the axle so you do not have to remove the entire link to unhook the bar from its right side. Then, unscrew the nut from the sway bar that is on the right and remove the surrounding splash shield. Unscrew the three size sway bar bracket bolts on the right side that secure it to the frame and take out the three bolts for the left side as well. When they are off, take the sway bar (1) to a suitable work bench. You only need to remove the tabs on the bracket (1), as they are fit only for factory assembly. After that, take out the retainer bracket (2) and gently lift the bushings off the sway bar with some soapy water.
