To replace the EGR valve on a 2.7L engine, cool off an engine and disconnect its battery for two minutes. Identify parts, take Diagnostic Trouble Codes and remove the purge solenoid. Disconnect EGR valve, remove tube bolts, remove valve and clean mounting surface before installing.
