You should begin by placing the fuel injectors onto the fuel rail and then apply a bit of clean engine oil to the O-ring at the end of each injector. Once the fuel injector openings are in the intake manifold, secure the injector nozzles and tighten the end of the fuel rail bolts to 22.5 Nm (16.5 ft. lbs.). Connect the fuel injectors to the electrical cables and link the fuel supply tube to the fuel rail. When the intake manifold is installed, put in the engine cover or throttle control shield next, if you have one. Fit the negative battery cable on to its post and fasten the air cleaner cover, also joining the inlet air temperature sensor and makeup air hose. Tighten the air tubes to 3 Nm (25 in-lbs.).
